Since 1818, Brooks Brothers has been dressing America in a way that no other brand beats. With more than 250 stores worldwide, the retail company has established a global presence and has set the standard for the way men and women alike, should dress. The important piecesBrooks Brothers is one of the worlds oldest retailers. Even after 200 years of being in the market, they still continue to develop their selections every season. However, there are a few traditional pieces that I believe are worth every penny for the pick-up. Polo's When it comes down to the basics, a polo is a must have for every good wardrobe. Multiple polos are needed for every great wardrobe. The Original Cotton Fit Polo is available in every color you can think of. At $69.50 (a little steep I know) it might put a dent in your wallet, but it is guaranteed to last almost a lifetime. I have picked up three different colors in this style polo: Hunter Green, Navy Blue & Black. Now keep in mind that these are 100% cotton, so expect them to wear a little heavy. For those of us in the warmer states, expect to wear a t-shirt. The gold fleece symbol is also outstanding on on every polo, giving it a little extra flair when you throw it on. Ties Brooks Brothers is also know for their ties, especially their Repp Ties. A price tag of $79.50 might seem a little much, but consider this: you are wearing a piece of history, and they are 100% Silk. (Brooks Brothers also tends to run Buy 1 Get 50% off The Second promotions on their ties). I have only one tie in my wardrobe, granted I don't live the business casual life yet. For my high school graduation, I was gifted a Navy Blue Motif tie, since which I have worn for more than three years a every interview and event. The money goes a long way.
